When you’re looking for a file, folder, or application on your computer, you can open folder after folder, clicking around until you find it; or you can make your search a lot easier by using the search feature in the Finder window toolbar. You simply type the name of what you’re looking for in the Search field, and then let Mac OS X do the rest. The results of your search appear right in the Finder window. Click a result to see the path to it, or double-click a search result to open it.
