If you want to use your Mac to connect with people, first you need some information about the people you want to connect with. The Mac OS X Address Book application makes it easy for you to organize and manage names, street and email addresses, phone numbers, birthdays, and more. You can even add a picture, so you’ll always have a face to put with a name. In Mac OS X, Address Book is a central storage place for your contact information. When you enter your information in Address Book, other applications can access it. For example, if you’ve entered an email address for a contact in Address Book, when you type that person’s name in Mail, their email address automatically appears.
