Creating, Addressing, and Sending a Message

Everything you need to create, address, and send email messages is right in the Mail window toolbar. You can even use this toolbar for easy access to Mail formatting tools.

If you’re sending a message to someone you’ve previously sent email to, you’ll notice that Mail automatically completes the recipient’s name and email address when you start typing it. Every time you send a message to someone, this person’s name and email address are automatically stored in a list of recently used addresses, allowing Mail to quickly retrieve their information the next time it’s needed.
