Now it’s time to try out what you’ve learned. If you can accomplish the tasks listed below, you can feel comfortable with your understanding of the topics in this section.

Locate the Applications and Applications (Mac OS 9) folders on your hard disk.  

Download an application from the Mac OS X software downloads page, and then install it on your Mac.  

Create a new TextEdit document, type some text, change the font family and size of the text, and then save the document to the Documents folder in your Home.  

Select some text in a TextEdit document, and then use a system service to turn it into a sticky note.  

Open the Preview application and then use Force Quit to quit it.  

Select one of the image files included with the practice files, and then set it to open in QuickTime Player when you double-click it.
